Hospital Accreditation

Launched in 2005, this program serves as the foundation of NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers). Its goal is to enhance healthcare quality and ensure patient safety across both public and private hospitals. Over time, the program has evolved significantly, with its standards now internationally recognized and accredited by the International Society for Quality Assurance in Healthcare (ISQua). These standards are carefully crafted to focus on patient safety and improve the quality of services provided by hospitals, continually adapting to the dynamic healthcare sector.

Emergency Department In Hospitals

NABH Accreditation for Emergency Departments focuses on enhancing the quality of care provided in emergency situations. It ensures that hospitals adhere to stringent standards that prioritize patient safety, efficient emergency response, and quality healthcare delivery. The accreditation process assesses various factors, including infrastructure, emergency protocols, medical equipment, staff competency, and patient care processes.

Dental healthcare Service Providers Accreditation

The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) has established specific Accreditation Standards for Dental Healthcare Service Providers (DHSP), which encompass dental teaching institutions, dental hospitals, and clinics. These standards are carefully crafted to align with India's cultural values and operational context. The primary focus of these standards is to improve patient safety, ensure the delivery of high-quality care, foster continuous knowledge development, maintain a skilled workforce, and promote environmental sustainability.

Small Health Care Organization (SHCO) Accreditation

The SHCO Accreditation Program, developed by NABH, is tailored for Small Healthcare Organizations (SHCO), including hospitals, nursing homes, and daycare centers with a sanctioned bed capacity of 50 or fewer.

Nursing Excellence Certification

The Nursing Excellence Certification acknowledges the crucial role of nursing professionals in driving quality initiatives within healthcare organizations. To evaluate nursing services, Nursing Excellence standards have been developed, offering comprehensive guidelines. The first edition of these standards is structured into chapters, each focusing on various professional, administrative, and governance aspects of nursing.

Blood Bank Accreditation

The Accreditation Standards for Blood Centres and Transfusion Services are designed to improve the quality and safety of blood throughout its entire lifecycle—from collection and processing to testing, and ultimately, distribution for transfusion. Meeting these standards ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care by guaranteeing the safe availability of blood and blood products in the right quantities and at the right time.

Ayush Accreditation

Ayurveda, an ancient medical system, plays a vital role in India's healthcare landscape. The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) establishes quality standards to ensure the safety and effectiveness of healthcare services, including Ayurveda. NABH Ayurveda Standards aim to improve patient care and hospital management in Ayurvedic hospitals.

Entry Level Ayush Center

The AYUSH Hospital/Centre Certification Programme acknowledges the challenges small-scale AYUSH hospitals and daycare centers face in meeting full accreditation standards. In response, NABH has introduced Entry Level AYUSH Centre standards, developed with input from experts, stakeholders, NABH's technical committee, and peer reviews. These standards provide a unified framework applicable across all AYUSH specializations, with one set designed for hospitals offering in-patient services (5 or more beds) and another for daycare AYUSH centers/clinics. These standards align closely with hospital standards, with a strong focus on community-centered care.

Wellness Centre Accreditation

NABH accreditation for wellness centers guarantees compliance with stringent standards designed to improve patient care, safety, and operational performance. It includes criteria such as effective patient management systems, proper infrastructure, skilled staff, and strict safety protocols.
